Choosing the right kite size
The right kite size comes down to three things: wind speed, your body weight, and the board you're riding. Heavier riders and bigger boards need less kite for the same wind; lighter riders and smaller boards need more.
On a downwinder, conditions can shift across a single session, so we always recommend bringing a small range — typically two sizes that overlap — rather than one 'do everything' kite.
Not sure what to bring? Tell us your weight and level when you book and we'll suggest a range for the season — and our support car always carries a few options to borrow.
