The route

What you'll ride

A one-day experience to learn the basics, test your skills and find out if downwinding is for you. We've selected four easy, short and safe routes along the Barrinha to Tatajuba corridor — flat water and buggy support throughout, built for you to practice and get a real glimpse of what downwinding feels like. This coast is arguably the nicest in the world to ride, with a steady 18–25 knot wind that blows side-onshore all season for a smooth, forgiving ride. Every route includes a private guide on the water with a briefing before and a debrief after, buggy transport with hotel pick-up, and support throughout the journey. R$1,200 for the day, for a group of 1 to 3 people.

How it works

Built around you, step by step.

01

A gentle, sheltered first downwinder — same guide, transport and price as every option here.

02
Option 2 — Jericoacoara → Tatajuba (25 km)

A step up in distance and exposure, tracing dunes and lagoons along the way.

03
Option 3 — Preá → Guriú (30 km)

A longer crossing past the Guriú lagoon, for riders ready to push their range.

04
Option 4 — Preá → Tatajuba (40 km)

The full corridor in one day — our longest single-day option, for confident intermediate riders.
