The spot
Arpoador lies near Tutóia, on the coast of Maranhão, between the Parnaíba Delta and the Lençóis Maranhenses. The water here is flat, lagoon-style, in a setting with very few people.
It is the fifth stop of our six-day downwinder from Jericoacoara to Atins: the group arrives from the Parnaíba Delta and rides the final leg to Atins the next day.
Getting there
Reached on the water on day five of our Jericoacoara to Atins route. By land, access is through Tutóia, Maranhão.
